Road to Discovery

Warren Dean of the College of Science, Greg Crawford, is embarking on a Road to Discovery: a cross-country bicycle tour that raises awareness and funding for research on rare diseases such as Niemann-Pick Type C (NPC), a fatal, rare neurodegenerative disease usually affecting children before or during adolescence. While this is Dean Crawford’s final ride, scientists at the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Rare and Neglected Diseases continue their important work in this area, building on their successes and advancing drug treatments to clinical trials.
