A New Movement for Sacred Music
Jonathan Embry, a graduate student in the Notre Dame Program of Sacred Music, is bringing new life to St. Peter's United Church of Christ in South Bend by reinvigorating the church's service music. An organist, Embry has helped the St Peter's community - which numbered around 130 in 2000 and had shrunk to 50 in the past few years - grow to just over 100 since he began playing as services as part of an intern program.
