Hesburgh Libraries Analog Preservation and Conservation

The Analog Preservation and Conservation Unit has lab space located in the Reyniers Building, out by the ND Credit Union on Douglas Road. That group is responsible for the care of our overall collections, with emphasis on prolonging the life and usability of records, books or other materials through conservation activities. Their work includes assessing the stability of various collections, treating individual items through specialized work, creating customized housing for exceptionally valuable materials, and researching the past use and provenance of objects.
