Walk the Walk Week 2021 Prayer Service

As those of you who have been part of this event in years past know, we begin Walk the Walk Week each year on the eve of Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a candlelight prayer service in the Rotunda of the Main Building. We gather there to reflect on what we have done and what more we might do to become the community we seek to be. Afterward, we walk together to the Sacred Heart of Jesus statue, where we place candles around the image of Christ with His arms outstretched to symbolize our collective commitment to be a light to each other and the world, and to work together to build a more inclusive and welcoming community.

This year, since we are not able to gather in person, we encourage you to take a few moments to join us in prayer and reflection as Walk the Walk Week begins and we mark the first Sunday of Lent.
